The above described species are common in Nepal. We can count about 20 different kinds of legume species and strains. The Phaseolus has much varieties, as SEMI, MASYANG, MUGI, MASH and so on. Especially SEMI has a cold-resistance and it was harvested even in a high elevation over 3,000m. As secondary, BHATMAS also has much variations. This legume can grow over 1,000m elevation and made a high amount of the harvest in Nepal. As a future problem of the Nepalese legumes, it is considered that these above two kinds of the legumes need to do the breeding in a good cultivation and harvest. These legumes have a good protein sources for Nepalese people. These legumes are extremely useful plants for the future in Nepal.
