Kou tzu-hsing 郭子興 and his group, which established at Hao chou 濠州, the group that Chu yuan-chan 朱元璋 had entered at first, were a combined army of landlords and such status, and had a colour as the party of fellow provincials would have. His group had not what kind of relation to other one, at least untill Kou's group have grown up. Chih-ma Li 芝麻李 and his group, which established at Hsu chou 徐州, were a combined army of out-lows, perhaps. It may be considered that no group have a relation to Li's, though seems to had a relation to Han lin-erh 韓林児 in early time. Collapse of Hsu chou group accompanying death of Li, at September of 12th year of Chih-cheng 至正 of Yuan 元, let his staffs rulled Hao chou group, at the same time, let both of Hao and Hsu chou groups analysed. While, Kou divorced Hao chou group to depend upon Chu, and one of staffs of late Hsu chou group had a connection with Han after internal troubles. It is difficult to consider, therefore, that the relation within some Eastern Red-Clothes in late Yuan dynasty are expressed by a figure, as several studies have gone like so, in past time.
