This research notes values of students' social skills (especially helping skills), and aims to explain the relationship between volunteer activities and inner changes (such as confidence and self-efficacy) of people. In this research, the samples were college students and general citizens who participated in "Special Summer Day Activities for Children with Disabilities." Data were collected by a survey and an interview, and were analyzed. The results indicate that the students' changes on ideas of volunteering have occurred. That the students, as volunteers, experienced the care for the children with disabilities and positions in the community has lead to changing perspectives on volunteer and self as well as heightening self-evaluation. In addition to that, self-evaluation has shown strong correlation with self-efficacy. Also, the results have made a suggestion that we need to create the appropriate learning environment that supports students' growth and empowers them.
