The purpose of this paper is to analyze for the social informations of aged society and the elderly on newspapers after the World Wer II. According to the standard of WHO, we refered to the society more than 7% elderly population (65 over years old) as aging society, and more than 14% elderly population as aged society. In this paper, therefore, we set the four stages from pre-aging society to the highly aged society, that is, pre-aging society, aging society, aged society, and post-aged sosiety. We analyzed the social informations of aged society and the elderly on newspapers from the viewpoint of the stages of aging of population. By this analysis, it is found that the social informations for aged society and the elderly are different by each stage of the aging of population. We eximined that the social informations were increasing steadily, and sharply recently in the 1980's and that they were much changing the quality itself. They were almost occupied by the accidents of the elderly in the 1950's and 1960's. In the 1970's, there were a wide variety of the social informations for the elderly. And the aging of the population in Japan is now a primary concern for educational policies and practices of life-long education/or learning in the 1980's.
