• The distribution of multiforms of carbonic anhydrase in lettuce leaves was measured by eluting the enzyme from the gel slab bands using a simple device. The multiforms of carbonic anhydrase found in the leaves were not artificial because re-electrophoresis showed the activity in a single band at a position corresponding to the original one.
