This study aims to clarify one of the design characters of architect Yoshiro Taniguchi. It focuses on the design sense in the description of his "the Country Beauty" and the problem of the scenery. As it was seen in the sign scenery, the level of a design sense of the Japanese which Taniguchi Yoshiro insists on was concerned with the skills of completing works, and it reflected the scenery of the daily life environment clearly. As it was shown in the rapid industrialization which was exemplified by the poor sign scenery, that wasn't caused by the urgent procedure given by the outer factors unrelated to life. Rather, using materials from the climate and environment, and from daily life, the feelings of nostalgia and attachment come together with an appreciative and modest desire for production. In Taniguchi Yoshiro's descriptions of his "the Country Beauty", beautiful scenery and environment appear as a slow natural step.
