The experiment was planned so as to analyse the effect of temperature in the electric hot bed with or without heat insulating layer. Therefore, three plots, as shown in Fig. 1, were arranged and for earth temperature observation, each element of self recording thermometer were installed at each depth shown in the Fig. 1. Two kinds of the material, slitted polystylen foam paper and straw, were prepared in the experiment as the hot bed with heat insulating layer, while as the control plot, We have arranged a plot without that layer. We could evaluate the effects of heat insulating layer as follows. 1. Daily change of earth temperature at each depth were shown in Fig. 3, with the daily variation of maximum temperature both by plot and by the depth as shown in the Fig. 4. 2. From the mean vertical temperature distribution pattern during whole period of experiment, in poly stylen foam paper plot we could recognized the invension layer at the depth of the layer, while in other two plots, we could not got the same results. 3. From our experiment, heating effect of temperature in hot bed with polystylen foam paper plot showed more efficiency of temperature with regard to heating than the other two plots.
