• The bazaar was located in front of the castle gate; the bazaar was located especially at the northwest of the castle or the city, through which ancesters used to come and go. The bazaar was located between two worlds, the shores of a river or around shrines; they promoted trade between groups through the intermediation of the market god or gods. Kaaba, the house of the god, of Mecca, Arabia stands on the shore of a waterless river; the market is held there.
