Chromosome analyses were carried out on bone marrow specimens of a 55 year-old female patient with CML. As a result, a chromosome aberration, i. e. the translocation between chromosome 22 and 11, considered to be the 3rd case ever reported, was observed. However, chromosome 9 of bone marrow cells and chromosome analysis of the peripheral lymphocytes, were normal.
