In this paper, the diachronic change of relationships among English abilities of the students of Ariake National College of Technology was investigated. Seventy one students took the same English exams three times, in 2001, 2002 and 2003. The path models show the increased interrelation between English skills, and their contributions to the corresponding skills of the next years. The findings reveal the students' development of English proficiency and also educational problems to be solved.
