In this paper, we shall develop resume of some asymptotic properties of the optimal inventory processes. In particular, a turnpike planning horizon theorem is presented for this model when there is discounting and nondiscounting. Roughly speaking, the statement of this theorem is: there exists an N such that for all n〓N, the optimal immediate decisions when there are n periods remaining in the planning horizon is one of the decisions which is optimal when the horizon is infinite or unbounded. Finally, we discuss the turnpike horizon of the optimal pumping processes in place of the optimal inventory processes.
