This paper aims to describe the importance of the relationship between the environmental policy and the city planning policy by use of the questionnaire data for the cities in the Chubu district of Japan. As a result, following things were obtained. The city that has small population is in the tendency not to execute a policy. But, it is true that some small city performs the policy according to the law. In order to establish the recycle-system society, it needs for Japanese local governments that the kindly relationship between the section of environmental policy and the section of city planning policy.
