Warehouses are located to the north and south of the Atsugi Interchange along the Tomei Expressway. Their location is conspicuous especially around the Atsugi Distribution Center and along the National Route 129, The largest number of warehouse companies are headquartered in Tokyo's 23 wards, operated dominantly by warehouse and transportation firms. The foodstuff, apparel, paper and copying machinery are four major items stored therein. Goods stored originate either abroad or all over Japan, with their destination being all over Japan, centering around the Kanagawa and Kanto prefectures. The type of storage is mostly storage at the production site or storage in transit.
