The geological conditions governing the landslide in the Takisaka area is the main topic this paper. In the landslide area the stratigraphy of the Neogene Tertiary can be summarized as follows in descending order : Talus breccia and mudflow deposit 20 m+ 〜Unconformity〜 Terrace gravel 8 m- 〜Unconformity〜 Thin bedded mudstone 60 m± Bedded coarse grained tuff 50 m± Graded green tuff 20 m+ Arkose sandstone 50 m±Pre-Tertiary hornblende biotite granodiorite It is considered that the Neogene sediments accumulated on the basement of granodiorite of N-S trending boat-shaped semi-trough associated with the Yudenosawa fault. In this paper, the writer considers and suggests a counterplan against the landslide and its phenomena.
