Electron spin resonance (ESR) spectra of powder and solution of Cu (II)-inner complex salts were examined. Seventeen samples were prepared by the usual method. Powder samples showed broad absorption spectra as well known. The g-values were between 2.02 and 2.10 and the values about of dithiocarbamates were smaller than others. In the benzene solutions of them hyperfine structures were observed, i. e. the ESR spectra were split into four lines. In the cases of cupric dithiocarbamates their absorption spectra were very narrow and sharp. In the dioxane solutions of them extra hyperfine structures were recognized. Six cupric dithiocarbamates, except cupric ethylphenyldithiocarbamate, showed the spectra split into eight absorption lines. In the solutions of N-coordinated complexes, for instance in the cases of cupric α-nitroso-β-naphthol, dimethylglyoximate and dithizonate, the spectra in higher magnetic field region had extra hyperfine structures. As an example, the ESR spectrum of cupric dithizonate in the highest magnetic field region was split into nine lines, and other three absorption bands disappeared. This fact shows that the coordinate bond of Cu (II) in dithizonate is not 2S-and 2N-coordination but 4 N-coordination, because the nuclear spin (I) of ^<14>N is unity and the value of (2I + 1) becomes nine in the case of interaction with four nitrogen atoms.
