The change of electric resistance by the longitudinal magnetization, that is, the longitudinal magneto-resistance effect in the single crystals of nickel-copper alloys containing 0〜30.42 percent of copper was measured up to 1100 oersteds at 0℃. The magneto-resistance curves for the specimens of low content of copper were almost similar to one another and the same as those for nickel, while the curves for the specimens containing more amount of copper were of a linear gentle negative slope due to the increase of spontaneous magnetization. Making use of the results of experiment, the saturation magneto-resistances in the directions of crystallographic principal axes were calculated by means of Doring's equation, and the relations between the saturation magneto-resistance and the copper content were obtained in [100], [110] and [111] axes.
