As a special case of common involute helical gears reported in a previous report, we considered the mating of gear tooth in the case of the pinion without addendum and the gear without dedendum. If the gear is a driver, the gear teeth mate in arc of recess only, consequently, to a speed-up gear. The equations for this tooth profile are expressed by three equations, (2-6), (2-7) and (2-8), and the equations for tooth thickness are obtained from the following equations given in the 1st. report : numerical formula (1-35) (1-36) The gear of this type can be designed by using these equations.
