• This article will discuss the welfare service for elderly people in Japan from the user's perspective. The title, "The third way of welfare for elderly people" might seem to be slightly stretching the point. However, if you consider the current situation of nursing care service, you will understand the reason why we have chose this title. Currently, nursing-care service is provided either at an individual's home or at an institute. In other words, the users of the service can be satisfied through such limited options, and we will discuss this issue in this paper.
