• First of all, I introduced Ruth Benedict and Lafcadio Hearn's viewpoints of Japanese people fifty years or one hundred years ago. In the present days, Japanese people are worried about different anxieties. And the persons who commit suicide are increasing from year to year. In this paper, I investigated the causes of anxieties based on the ASAHI PRESS. And I analysed the prefecture distinctions of the suicide and the difference between the number of Japanese suicide and that of other countries' suicide. And I inquired into the patterns of the well-known persons who had committed suicide in Japan. Lastly, I investigated the salvation of Man, and I put my finger on the strong resemblance between Aldous Huxley (an English writer) s Orient Buddhism worship and the thought of Kuya Shonin (a holy priest).
