Although in the preceeding first, second and third reports on the characteristics of the radiator system, the drag coefficients of the ducts were referred to the results of the model experiments, no data on the drag coefficients for actual were given. Flight tests for the various cowlings of the radiator of the Koken-long-range aeroplane were made followed by full scale model tests for the same cowlings in the wind tunnel. The drag coefficients obtained with the aid of full scale models experiments are shown in Table 3, and Fig.14. Using the drag coefficients for the full size models and the equations shown in the first report, the calculated values for the case of the above mentioned aeroplane were found to agree fairly well with the flight test results shown in Fig.9. Owing to this agreement, the theoretical equations given in the first report would seem to be of use in practice, provided they are used with the proper drag coefficients.
