Prolog This essey is on the supposition that Fujii, T. was the person who built a first raod to realize into the practice the ideas of the folk high school movement in Japan. 1. the life-course of Fujii. (1) from the birth until the middle-school student days. (2) daiichi-kotogakko〜Tokyo-university student days. (3) the bureaucrat days. (4) later life and activitis. 2. Fujii T. and the folk high school movement. (1) the establishment of YAMAGATAKENRITSU-JICHIKOSHUSHO. He made a plan of the institute himself, and established in Dec. 1915. Why was it necessary? What were its system and characteristics in there? And, How could he import information about the Danish folk high schools, it was a important model of the institute. (2) the start of the folk high school moovement. How did he prepare for the start of JICHIKOSHUSO. The relationship between Fujii and Yahagi E. (first introducer of the Danish folk high schools in Japan), and to Kato K. (the first Master of JICHIKOSHUSHO). Epilog Fujii was the person who realized systematically the folk high school movement, and first in Japan.
