• The opinion of this paper is that Fangzhongyue, a type of ceremonial music of the Zhou Dynasty, was born in the YangTze valley, And through matrimony betweenmembers of royalty and feudal lords of South China, Fangzhongyue was taken intothe royal family together with the manners and customs of the latter, and was playedat many kinds of ceremonies. So we can say that Shijing culture of the Zhou Dynasty was created by the people who lived in both the HwangHo and the YangTze valleys.
