本論は、古英詩Andreasをその原典のギリシア語版、ラテン語版の二つの版と比較し、内容上の主な相違点をあきらかにした。In this paper the author compares Old English poem, Andreas (1722 lines and written about the end of 9th century), with its Greek and Latin analogues. As a Greek analogue, we have "Acts of Andreas and Matthias in the City of the Man-eaters." Also as a Latin one, we have a version found in 1909 in Biblioteca Casantense at Rome. We have both analogues published in 1930 in Franz Blatt's book.
