A differential temperature controller is described, which can control the temperature of a nonlinear optical crystal at approximately 200℃, with a temperature stability better than 1mK.To demonstrate its performance, the temperature of a monolithic, continuous-wave optical parametric oscillator(OPO)was stabilized and an output intensity fluctuation of 3.5% rms was achieved even under free-running operation.
