• The problem of democracy based on the respect for the dignity of the individual and its autonomy is the subject which was given me by the times I have lived. This subject is, in other words, the question how we think of the relation between the individual and society. On this issue, I put my thoughts together referring to the theories of Georg Simmel, Dr. Kazuta Kurauchi and Kojin Shimomura. And I concluded that it is only possible with the efforts for the self-clarification through the ceaseless self-creation of each individual that the democratic integration of the individual at the higher level of humanity can be realized.
