2 cases, one with a large left ventricular aneurythm and another with severe 3 vessel diseases, of acute myocardial infarction were studied in relation to abnormal cardiovascular responses in phase 1 cardiac rehabilitation program. 1 : The fall of systolic blood pressure just after rehabilitation activities seems to be a sign which suggests a very poor left ventricular function. 2: A lack of increase of heart rate just after rehabilitation activities needs careftul observations in proceeding a patient with the program. 3: In a rehabilitation setting for a patient with poor cardiac function, a special consideration of orthostatic stress has to be emphasized through constant chair sitting and ADL.
