Interdiffusion experiments were carried out by the capillary-cell method for three quaternary systems prepared by partial substitution of the respective components of the CCl_4-C_6H_6-C_6H_<12> system with corresponding ^<14>C-labeled species, and the amount of the ^<14>C-labeled species diffusing into the capillary was determined by measuring its radioactivity. The experimental results showed good agreement with theoretical calculations by a quaternary diffusion equation which was extended from Darken's binary diffusion equation. The necessary mathematical solution for the amount of diffusion in the capillary was derived for the quaternary diffusion equation.
