Large Eddy Simulation of turbulence between tubes is perfomed to investigate a flow pulsation through a gap between tubes. The flow pulsation greatly contributes to enlargement of eddy thermal diffusion in the flow between tubes. Simulated turbulence is bounded by two tube walls with no-slip flow condition and by four tube gaps and another with periodic flow condition. Smagorinsky model with van Driest damping is used for the sub-grid viscosity. The filtered Navier-Stokes equation is discretised on Decartes grid by a second-order accurate finite differential method. The fractional step method with a second-order Adams-Bashforth integration is used. The result shows that a large-scale stream wise vortex causes the flow pulsation through a gap between tubes. The frequency of the flow pulsation is characterized by the vortex convected with mean flow.
