Using two pump beams with wavelengths of 1.32 μm and 1.34 μm, a continuum spectrum in a multimode fiber is newly generated with relatively low pump power of 1.5 kW for each wavelength. The continuum spectrum is attributable to the superposition of sequential stimulated Raman scatterings and forced four-photon mixing processes.
