Preparation of Superconducting Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O Printed Thick Films on MgO Substrate and Ag Metal Tape : Electrical Properties of Condensed Matter

The thick films of Bi-Sr-Ca-O (BSCCO) systems have been prepared by a screen printing method on (100) MgO substrates, Ag and some metal tapes. The electrical resistivity and microstructure have been investigated as a function of the postprinting heat treatment. We have succeeded in obtaining a highly oriented thick film with the c-axis perpendicular to the MgO substrate. The film annealed at 885℃for 1 hr followed by annealing at 872℃ for 72 hr shows zero resistance T_<c(end)> of 107 K, which corresponds to the superconducting transition of the high-T_c phase in BSCCO materials. By depositing BSCCO thick films on Ag metals, highly oriented films have also been obtained, which have shown zero resistance at 76 K.
