A numerical investigation is presented here to analyse an arbitrarily-oriented thin conducting wire antenna located anywhere near a circular metallic finite thin disk. An entire domain solution of Galerkin projective method is used. The approach deals also with a monopole attached to the disk and suggests a treatment specially devoted to the singularity arising in such a case. Numerical results are presented for the current distribution and radiation pattern. The input impedance is also considered, in the investigation, at different frequencies so that the effect of change of the electrical size of the disk-monopole structure is illustrated. The study is performed for different positions of the monopole with different orientations, and shows good agreement with previous published experimental and numerical techniques.
