Transverse magnetophonon resonance up to 1.8 T is observed between 55 and 112K with a number of n-InSb samples having carrier concentration n from 3 X 10^13 to 7 X 10^14 cm^^3. An empirical formula, △posc/po=A exp (-γN)cos(2πω_0/ω_c), is confirmed for the harmonic number N≩3, where A∽1 at T≩77K, the lowest damping factor γ(77K)=0.7 at η=η_c≒1 x 10^14 cm^3, γοτη_2/5 for η>η_c and γοc1/n^0.2~0.25 for n<n_c. Thus the maximum amplitude △posc/po at N=3 N=3 peak to be maximized is about 90 K. The features agree fairly well with Barker's theory [J.Phys.C:Solid State Phys.5(1972)1657] and the dominant process limiting the amplitude is ascribable to the band tailing effect.
