The distribution changes in crystallite size in polyethylene exposed to γ-rays were followed by X-ray diffraction. The data were analyzed by a method developed by Doi. Numerical calculation was carried out with the aid of an IBM 7090 computer. It was found that there was no significant difference between the distribution of an unirradiated sample (Marlex-6000-2) and that of a 1×10^9 roentgen irradiated one. After 3×10^9 roentgen irradiation, the crystallites disappeared completely.
