• The characteristics of micropolar fluid as lubricants, in hydrostatic step seals and conical bearings have been studied in this paper. The load capacities of the bearings increase with the increase in the step heights. It has also been shown that the load capacities increase as the micropolar parameter μ^^-_1 increases or as M_2 decreases.
