We have measured the temperature dependence of the magnetic hysteresis loop and complex permeability of Mg<1-x>Cu_xFe_2O_4 (0.1≤x≤0.6) at temperatures between 20 and -195℃. As was reported previously, hysteresis loops with large Barkhausen steps were observed at low temperature. A delay in the flux change relative to the magnetic field was observed on the D.C.-hysteresis loops over a fairly wide temperature region. It was concluded that the induced magnetic anisotropy due to the measuring magnetic field was effective in the Mg-Cu-ferrite system. The magnetic loss factor tanδ was large, especially for 0.4≤x≤0.6. The fact that the activation energy of the magnetic relaxation is very close to that of the resistivity is suggestive of the mechanism of the relaxation to be due to electron diffusion, but this is not conclusive.
