High-speed plasma flow, the flow velocity of which is much larger than the thermal velocity of the ions, in a cusped geometry is investigated. The density distribution of the plasma in a plane perpendicular to the axis is assumed to be known and the ions there to have a Maxwellian distribution of velocities. The ion distribution in the downstream is calculated in the free-particle approximation.
