An analytical method is developed to determine the flow and heat transfer characteristics of suspensions in a parallel-plate channel under the influence of electric and magnetic fields. The flow is fully developed to Hartmann profile and the rheological behavior of the suspensions obeys the power-law model. Two cases of wall thermal condition are considered: the prescribed wall heat flux and the prescribed wall temperature. Numerical results show considerable deviations in the Hartmann profile, viscous and Joule heating, and heat transfer rate when the rheological characteristics of the suspension deviates from a Newtonian one.
