The wind tunnel interference problem in magnetohydrodynamics, in which an inviscid compressible fluid with small electrical conductivity flows steadily past a slender axisymmetric pointed body of revolution in a cylindrical perfectly insulated wind tunnel, in the presence of an applied slightly inclined magnetic field, is considered. The interference is found to induce electric field even if R_m〓0. The lift of the body changes its sign according to the direction of the angle between the applied magnetic field and the direction of the uniform flow at infinity.
