Investigations of galvanomagnetic properties at liquid nitrogen temperature have been made of the 3600℃-annealed pyrolytic graphite doped with a small amount of nitrates ranging from 4×10^<-7> to 2×10^<-5> per C-atom. Through an analysis based on the so-called simple two-band model, the behavior of specimens containing nitrate ions less than 5×10^<-6> per C-atom has appropriately been decribed in connection with the Fermi-level depression into the lower π-band of the host graphite crystal. Further nitration beyond it, however, seems to cause a change in the band structure.
