Properties of the noise caused by an anode oscillation in a DC excited Ar^+ laser are investigated. It is revealed from simple considerations and experiments that the amplitude of the noise caused by the anode oscillation is inversely proportional to ballast resistance. Frequency response of current fluctuations to laser fluctuation is calculated and compared with experimental results. The condition for suppressing the anode oscillation is examined experimentally.
