This paper presents a differential equation model for the real order lag element expressed in Laplace transform. It is available for the real order lag element to identify the controlled object having a higher order lag element in the control system. The real order lag element consists of two lag elements; that is, integer order lag element and noninteger one. The one can be represented precisely by the linear differential equations. However, the differential equations for the other have never been investigated. Then, we assumed that the differential equation models of noninteger order lag elements are derived by modifying the models of integer order lag elements, and we obtained the appropriate differential equation models. Finally, the initial conditions of such equations are studied by using an analog simulation.
