Bubble jet (or thermal ink jet) is an ink jet printing technology which uses the high pressure of vapor bubbles generated by rapid heating of ink liquids. In this report, a novel droplet ejection system for bubble jet printers, completely different from a conventional one, is described. In conventional bubble jet printers, vapor bubbles collapse in the nozzle. In the new system, on the other hand, vapor bubbles communicate with ambience. This technology is suitable for ejecting fine droplets stably.
