• The rolling resistance caused by the bilge keels to the actual ship is calculated for 27 ships and some examples are shown in Figs. 1〜4. With these calculated results, the effect of the ship form, the size of the bilge keel and the position of the center of gravity on the action of the bilge keel is investigated.The value of n which is given by n=2N_<θ=20°> (GM/KG)^<0.42> is shown in Figs. 9〜12.
