概要

• High current pinched discharge can produce high temperature and high density plasmas by relatively simple and compact devices. Plasma focus and Z-pinch are not only very attractive device for detailed studies of basic plasma physics, but also one of the complementary fusion devices with low-β tokamak and high compression inertial fusion. Applications of neutron source and soft X-ray source for future high technologies are briefly reviewed.
