The Great Cultural Revolution of China and developmental use of natural resource made a great influence on people in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. These two elements caused change of population and reformation of industrial system, effecting people's identity, life conditions and social structures. This report focuses on a study of analyzing dwelling and religious architecture in south-west area from surveys covering south-west and north-east area in the region and, furthermore, tries to compare dwelling and religious architecture between those of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and those of the Mongolian People's Republic.
