• Traditional wooden houses in Kansai district have low air-tightness and heat-insulation. They are forced to live in very cold houses in winter and get ill. To change this situation, i designed and built 10 wooden houses highly air-tightend and heat-insulated in Kansai. This study is aboutthose houses. As result of this investigation, it is showed that they have very good room-climate with low-heating-cost in winter and low buiIding cost. This technology must become familiar to people in Kansai and We must make efforts that they, especially old and young people, can live in those houses with good room-climate.
