Hypocotyl segments of Broussonetia kazinoki were cultured on media containing benzyladenine (BA) and naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA). BA induced adventitious buds on the top of the explants, while NAA produced roots at the basal region. Histological observation revealed that the buds were derived from callus.
