Discovery of Two Genera, Sarops NIXON and Protodacnusa GRIFFITHS, from Japan (Hymenoptera, Braconidae)

• Two braconid genera, Sarops NIXON and Protodacnusa GRIFFITHS are new to Japan. A new species, Protodacnusa jezoensis, is described and illustrated. Sarops rea NIXON is redescribed and the cephalic structures of its final instar larva are examined. Cryptonevra sp. (Chloropidae) is confirmed as a host of S. rea for the first time. The validity of the genus Sarops is discussed.
