This is the first record of Protura from the Okinawa Archipelago. Sixty-two specimens collected from Nakijin and Mt. Onnadake in Okinawa Island and Mt. Omotodake in Ishigaki Island by M. Nishihira belong to three species of Eosentomon. 1. E. asahi Imadate, 1961 Mt. Onnadake, Okinawa Is. : 1 mature junior, 8. V. 1960, M. Nishihira leg. 2. E. kumei Imadate et Yosii, 1959 Nakijin, Okinawa Is. : 1m. j., 3 III. 1960, M. N. leg., 1♂3♀, 1m. j., 10. IV. 1960, M. N. leg., Mt. Omotodake, Ishigaki Is. : 1♀, 11. IX. 1960, M. N. leg. Foretarsal sensilla a very small, shorter than t-1, d-1 thin, longer than t-2, d-2 long, f-1 and f-2 short, t-3 a little broad, longer than c′, f-2′ extremely long surpassing the tarsus, t-1 located nearer to α3′than α3, d : p=0.85-0.80 (Figs. A-B). Chaetotaxy is as in Table 1. Ratio of A1/A3 on sternite IX=1.8. 3. E. sakura Imadate et Yosii, 1959 Nakijin, Okinawa Is. : 1♂2♀, 3. III. 1960, M. N. leg., 4♂1♀, 10. IV. 1960, M. N. leg., Mt. Onnadake, Okinawa Is. : 22♂17♀, 2m. j., 1 larva II, 2 larvae I, 13. X. 1960, M. N. leg. Foretarsal sensilla a a little longer than t-1, d-1 and t-2 subequal in length, d-2 long, f-1 longer than f-2, f-2′extremely long, t-3 slightly broad, a little shorter than f-1, t-1 located nearer to α3′than α3, d : p=0.76-0.90 (0.76 in Okinawa) (Figs. C-D). Chaetotaxy is as in Table 2. Setae 2 and 3 on tergite X, 1 and 2 on tergite XI are lacking. Ratio of A1/A3 on sternite IX≑2.0. Chaetal developement in the last three larval stages is tabulated in Table 3.
