The Coreid-bug, Anacanthocoris striicornis (Scott), has a similar appearance to Leptocorisa varicornis (Fabricius), the famous pest of the rice-plant, and then it was sometimes erroneously recorded as an injurious species to agriculture [Matsumura, 1917 ; Takahashi, Y., 1948, etc.]. Although it was reported to be found on the Japanese silk tree, Albizzia Julibrissin Durazzini [Ishihara, 1949], I could ascertain that it injures neither the rice-plant nor the Citrus-trees and makes the Japanese silk tree one of the host-plants. All the developmental stages of it were described and at the same time its life-cycle was made clear. It has two generations a year and hibernate in the adult stage, like most of the Coreid species of Japan.
